Canvas!

Canvas
Originally uploaded by Andrew Edwards.
Hey everyone,
Its been a little bit since we actually got to put anything into the blog. We have been steadily doing photos since the last time we wrote here. The weddings have been great times!

In that time, Andrew did make up a composite of a few different infant shoots we have done. We had it printed on a 16x20 Canvas gallery wrap, which means it is 2" deep and does not need to be framed. The result was simply astounding when we received it. We think we have finally found our canvas supplier!

Now to decide where to hang it on the wall for the time being?

On the Run

Hey Everyone,
Things have been pretty busy with us, between processing photos and taking new ones. Yesterday we had a great pre-wedding shoot with Elizabeth and Kristen. Courtney happened to snap off this pic of my by accident and we thought it was funny enough to post up.

Hey Everyone,
Sorry that it has been so long getting up another blog post. We have been busily processing wedding photos. Well I have to say that some of the speeches at the wedding were some of the most touching I heard. David and April were absolutely amazing to photograph on their special day; not to mention the bridal party!

Along with wedding photos the MCHS prom photos were completed and shipped to everyone. You can see to the side here that the photos came out fantastic! Now you guys know why we are so meticulous!

We are waiting for some nicer weather to start the automotive stuff. It looks like later this week is shaping up to be nice. Hopefully the weather is nice and bipolar mother nature does not have her way.

Time Warpage

Time Warp
Originally uploaded by Andrew Edwards.
Well peeps, all images from the past week are processed, including the full client list of prom photos from Marystown. I am awaiting them back from the printer now to send to the school.

So I went over to Bell Island yesterday (Saturrday) to photograph the Vinland Motorsports Inc. autoslalom event. While over there I kept hearing dirt bikes off in the distance. Knowing there was a motocross track further from the autoslalom event I took off at lunch time in search of it. Well what a great time it was.

Photographing MX is a pretty big departure from my usual clientele and I met some nice people practicing and operating the track. It looks like I'll be going back to photograph both the mens and kids races over the summer.

Summer Time

Andrew Grip copy

Hey People,
The shoot went great in Marystown. Talk about a fun time with a great group of kids, I mean young adults. Going back to the school was quite eye opening. Same doors, new paintings on the walls but the security cameras made my wary of what the school has become in the past 10 years since I left there. Similar to the school, I often wonder what the municipality has done for the youth in the area since we have left there or has as a strategic plan for them.

For those of you eager and waiting to see your prom photos, they are awesome! The photos will be available at your school's office within the next week and a half. We will be calling all of you to remind you when they will be delivered.

Over the next little while I will be doing quite a bit of Automotive photography for clients using some new automotive photography rig gear. It should be exciting! I don't think Courtney will share my enthusiasm for these photos. :) Can you say Mercedes Benz SLK55?

Besides the automotive clients we have a very beautiful bride to be and groomsman getting married on the 21st of June and it should be an exciting time. The bride and groom are great together, so we can only imagine what a great time it will be when family and friends get together to celebrate with them. As well, we have been doing some spectacular shots with some of the cutest kids ever! I often say it is too bad there are no curls in me or Courtney because they are so cute when kids have them!

Back from the big city!

Hey Everyone,
I am finally back from Toronto after a quite enjoyable social work conference. The weather in Toronto was absolutely fantastic, hitting 20 degrees with almost zero wind.

In the meantime, I picked up more new gear and I am preparing for the prom shoot in Marystown. In between we have quite a few so it should be a fun week!

Rainy Day Daisies

Rainy Day Daisies

So when are we going to have some nice weather? While building a new fence this weekend we got a glimpse of something bright in the sky.. put off a lot of heat but retreated behind the clouds shortly after. Today we saw it again for a few minutes and it disappeared.

Anyway, lets hope the weather clears up? I'm tired of ducking inside with the camera when the rain gets really heavy.

A photo of anniversary flowers, more typically known as the Stargazer Oriental Lilly. I had to do something inside, as this weather does not seem to be getting any better. This weekend I will hopefully be finishing off my automotive setup and start testing it.

Gear update

These Days
Originally uploaded by Andrew Edwards.
Well I have recently upgraded my main shooting rig to deliver even higher resolution files to my clients. I am finishing off the automotive setup that I will be using for automobile photography this summer; or should I say when the fog and sub-zero temperatures leave us.

The summer is already booking up so get in contact with us if you are interested in a shoot sometime over the next three months.

Summer

Well yes summer is almost officially here, but I wanted to introduce you to Baby summer! Isn't she cute! She is the daughter of Gayla and Chris, who I maternity photos for a few weeks ago.

This summer looks to be a great one. May is booking up very fast and I will be out of the province for almost a week towards the end. Send me an email asap if you want to get in during May.

I will also be doing quite a bit of automotive photography this summer with a new photo rig I am developing. I will put up some pictures when I complete it. Look forward to some nice rolling shots of vehicles when the weather clears up a bit more.

Look this way!

Jack and Amelia
Originally uploaded by Andrew Edwards.
Hey Everyone,
Has it ever been a long time since I updated the blog! Things have been quite busy over the past little while. Of notable mention are my official nomination as Student Entrepreneur of the Year and also some of my photos appearing on the cover of Parkinson's magazine. I am waiting for the magazine to arrive in my mailbox. Once it arrives, I will have the cover available for everyone to see.

Meet Jack and Amelia, descendants of the Rogers Family. It was a fun photo shoot with the family as a whole and was nice to catch up with their aunt/uncle. You cannot see it in this image, but Amelia probably has brightest blue eyes I have seen from any children I have photographed!

Along with the photography business my Social Work studies have been keeping me busy when not behind the camera. Look forward to a few new backgrounds in the coming month for photos. As well, some more new lighting gear.

Those of you inquiring about Prom Photos for spring 2008. I am tentatively booked for May 31st for the entire day. If this changes I will let everyone know.

Cheers,

AE
