Peaking

Peaking

Just a quick one. While I was volunteering downtown and helping out with the Community Youth Network, Street Reach Program, I had the opportunity to go for a little walk in the fog and light drizzle.

It was far from warm and it was too close to do dark for my liking. It was interesting the see the amount of people who were interested in that ship coming into the harbour.

Gerbers

Gerbers

Today I had the opporunity and the spare time to photograph some Gerber Daisies that I gave to my parntner. She loved them and surprisingly enough they have lasted almost two weeks now.

Anyway the point is the dramatic colors that came out of the photos, while using a very basic setup, were spectacular. The blues and violets are astounding I think.

There are more in the gallery on my site. www.andrewedwdardsphotography.ca

May 5, 2007. Meet Stephanie. A very photogenic female on the verge of her university career. No this is not a dating service, but I have to say she is probably the most photogenic person you will ever meet.

On her prom day/night she wanted ease and simplicity. Which is exactly what I offer to my clients. The setup, shoot and teardown was done in an hour and a half with the help of my lovely assistant.

Just a note: do not ever let me around a table full of decorative lives as they may end up on the floor by accident.. heh .

Naveen! Look at the Camera! And this is what I got. Naveen was first a subject of mine a little over a year ago. At 4-5 days old, Naveen had his first professional photos taken of him while he was a tad bit over 6 pounds and cute as a button.

Today when I saw him I was completely amazed at how much he has grown up. And talk about smart! This little guy is a shoe in to be a doctor. He has his own anatomy down already!

I am super glad that I got to photograph Naveen again but it is a bit saddening that he will be moving to Toronto, Canada in a few weeks. Hopefully I will get to do some more photos of him in the future.

Cute huh?

Signal Hill Light Streaks

Signal Hill Light Streaks

Today was pretty exciting. While driving this morning the weather person on the radio said we were suppose to have +15 celcuis temperatures today. So, I started to plan out some shots that I could bare being outside for.

This shot was one of them. The nice weather created a very pleasing sunset that St. John's, Newfoundland residents were flocking to see. Signal Hill provides a popular outlook over the city and the western setting sunlight.

Guitar and Amp

Today I had the opportunity to photograph an Epiphone Les Paul and a Crate GT212. It was fun to do I must say and working out the lighting to get this shot was fun. It is funny how much trouble curved surfaces can be when your on the clock.

All in all it was a good time. If you want a shot like this or of anything else contact me at info@andrewedwardsphotography.ca
